Yesterday, I finished knitting the Cozy Atlas Cardigan in UNIVERSAL YARN Linear in the Sketch colorway. And you’re probably wondering, ‘What else is there to do?’
For one, I still must weave in all ends; there aren’t too many, but they need weaving.
Then, I must sew in all the buttons, all seven of them.
I need to try it on and admire it; this is a very important step in finishing a project. If something needs fixing, it’s better to do it before blocking the project.
And finally, I must block my cardigan.
Blocking the Cardigan
To block, I wash my cardigan in warm water with the no-rinse detergent SOAK. I got a new scent, Fig. It smells good, and it will let the yarn bloom, the stitches will even out, and the cardigan will look amazing!

After soaking (literally) the cardigan for an hour, it’s time to lay it flat to dry. All three components of the yarn: alpaca, merino, and acrylic are quick-drying fibers. Soon it will be dry, and I can try it on and admire it.

The buttons create a classic, vintage feel, almost like a ‘grandpa’ roomy, cozy cardigan.
It will keep me warm all winter, and I can wear it with jeans or a wool skirt alike.

Conclusion
This was a fun project. I like UNIVERSAL YARN Linear. The Karbonz needles I used were perfect for this yarn, and I kept everything organized in the beautiful VIVACE Tote. It’s time to prepare my new project bag for the next exciting knitting project.
