Hats knit with Bulky yarn – perfect winter knitting

by Fiona Stevenson

Are you enjoying winter? Here in the Great White North, I LOVE winter, but you have to dress for it! Whether you love winter or hate it, a warm hat makes all the difference on a crisp cold day. This week I’m going to introduce you to four bulky and super bulky yarns that make knitting up a cute chunky hat fast and easy. Each day, I’ll share with you a new yarn and a free hat pattern that takes less than an afternoon to knit!

Get out and enjoy winter with super cozy, super bulky hats!

I’m making four hats using Universal Yarn Be Wool Multi and Posh Alpaca, as well as Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, and Hue + Me.

Knitting with bulky yarn is quick & easy, cast on and get going!

Make sure you come back each day for the opportunity to learn, not just about the yarns and patterns, but for helpful knitting tutorials like the DIY giant pompom tutorial on Friday and the cabling video tutorials on Sunday. You can follow along and make all the hats, or just check them out and pick your favorite. Grab your needles and notions, tomorrow we begin!
