4 fun and free patterns to knit with Bamboo Pop Sock

Yesterday we looked at the benefits of knitting with Bamboo Pop Sock, including its fiber content, amazing yardage, elasticity, colorways and more. Today I want to share some amazing patterns that show off this yarn at its best.

This playtime dress is a fun knit…fun for the knitter and fun for the wearer. The Wildflowers colorway is perfect for this garment.

Children’s wear is one of the better non-sock uses for knitting with Bamboo Pop Sock yarn. Because this yarn is elastic and machine washable, it will fit the child through various stages and be easy for dad or mom to keep clean. This Playtime Dress pattern comes with instructions for infant, toddler, up to  6-year old size.

Using two different yet coordinating colorways of Bamboo Pop Sock yarn makes the raglan shoulders truly stand out.

The Easy Stripe Sweater is a unisex sweater pattern in sizes newborn to pre-schooler. This pattern uses 2 or 3 balls (1 or 2 of the body colorway, and 1 for the sleeves) and with a straightforward stockinette texture to show of the stripes and basic raglan shaping. It’s a quick knit to give to your young friend.

Naturally, having ‘sock’ in the yarn name, would mean that a sock pattern is due. Please stay tuned for a free adult sock pattern later this week, but in the meantime, I’ll share these cute little socks.

Several sets of this adorable hat and slippers can be knit from one ball of Bamboo Pop Sock yarn, pictured here in the Cherry Pie colorway.

Several hat and sock sets can be made from one ball of Bamboo Pop Sock yarn in this Itty Bitty set that comes in 3 sizes. These are perfect for vegan parents or babies with sensitive skin.

Moving on to garments and accessories for adults, I’d like to begin with the Sky & Sand tank top designed by Rachel Brockman.

Stripes of blues, terracotta’s, and warm earth tones capture the mood of a day at the beach in this Sand & Sky top.

Shown here in the Waves and Coral colorways, it’s another design that uses 2 coordinating Bamboo Pop Sock colors to increase the color depth in the design. This pattern is written in 9 sizes ranging from a 31” bust to a 63” bust). It drapes nicely on the wearer’s upper hip and is great for your hand-knit summer wardrobe. I’m back tomorrow to share more knitting fun using Bamboo Pop Sock, but on Friday I’m posting a free pattern for a T-top that sports lace, ¾-length sleeves and short-row shaping for the bust.
